Sumsub: Sumsub for global document-based verification with published per-check pricing

Predictive identity verification and fraud scoring for the US market
As of 1 September 2026, Socure's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A US-focused identity platform that verifies people against data rather than documents, returning a probabilistic score from name, address, phone, email and SSN attributes. Softwr lists it under Cybersecurity. Socure is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Socure resolves and scores identities using machine learning over a wide set of consumer data attributes, producing decisions for KYC, synthetic identity detection, fraud risk, document verification and account opening. Its products include ID+ for identity verification, Sigma for fraud scoring, and a consortium-derived signal set contributed by its customer base. Compliance products cover Customer Identification Programme requirements and watchlist screening for US regulated institutions. The distinguishing capability is synthetic identity detection. A fabricated identity built from a real SSN and an invented name passes a document check and passes many credit checks, but fails when scored against the correlation patterns Socure models. For US banks and lenders, synthetic identity is one of the fastest growing loss categories and one that document-first vendors are structurally poor at catching. Buyers are US banks, credit unions, lenders, fintechs and government programmes. The trade-off is geography and data dependence. Outside the United States the underlying attribute data is thinner and performance drops, so a global business will still need a document-based vendor for other markets. Pricing is quoted per decision with annual commitments and is not published.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Socure.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

International coverage exists but the data depth that makes the US product accurate is not replicated everywhere. Most global buyers pair it with a document vendor.
Yes, that is the core proposition. Document verification is available as a step-up when the data-only score is inconclusive.
No. It is quoted per decision against an annual volume commitment.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Socure, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it. Tell us if any of it is wrong.
