What Redstor does
Redstor is a cloud-first backup and recovery platform covering Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, servers, endpoints, virtual machines, Kubernetes, Xero, QuickBooks and Salesforce. It is sold through managed service providers rather than direct, with multi-tenant management, per-client billing and white labelling built for that channel. The distinguishing capability is InstantData. Rather than waiting for a full restore to complete before anyone can work, Redstor streams the most-requested data first and serves the rest on demand in the background, so a recovered server is usable in minutes with the bulk still arriving. For an MSP whose service level agreement is measured in recovery time, that changes what can be promised. The company also holds data in UK and regional data centres, which matters where public sector or legal clients require data to stay in jurisdiction. Buyers are UK and European managed service providers and, through them, small and medium businesses. The trade-off is that this is a channel product. Buying direct is generally not an option, so your experience, price and support responsiveness are mediated by whichever partner you choose, and switching partners without switching product is awkward.
