Overview
What Redocly does
Redocly builds developer portals and API reference documentation from OpenAPI specifications, and adds the piece most documentation tools omit: governance. Its linter enforces style rules on the spec itself — naming, descriptions, examples, required fields — in CI, before the documentation is generated. That ordering is the point. Documentation quality is downstream of specification quality, and a spec with missing descriptions produces a reference page with missing descriptions no matter how good the renderer is. Redocly fails the build instead.
