Turns a screen recording into a narrated step by step how to video and document
As of 1 September 2026, Guidde has a free plan and paid plans start at $19/month. Guidde captures a workflow once and produces a narrated video plus a step by step guide, with synthetic voiceover so nobody has to record audio. Softwr lists it under Documentation. Guidde is available on Web, Chrome, Windows, macOS.
Overview
Guidde is a documentation tool for software workflows. A browser extension records a process, and Guidde automatically splits it into steps, writes text for each one, generates a synthetic voiceover and assembles the result into a narrated video and a matching written guide. Both outputs are produced from the same capture, which is the point: documentation and video normally require two separate efforts and drift apart as the software changes. The practical advantage is that removing the need to record audio removes the single largest barrier to how to content actually getting made. People will screen record a workflow. They will not re record their voice five times to fix a stumble, and so the content never ships. Synthetic text to voice, which sits on the Business tier, means the narration can be edited as text, which also makes it maintainable when a button moves. Pricing is published and per creator: Free at zero for up to 25 how to videos with basic recording and sharing, Pro at 29 US dollars a month or 19 billed annually with unlimited videos, watermark removal, brand kit and blurring of sensitive information, Business at 59 monthly or 39 annually for up to five creators adding text to voice generation, PDF and PowerPoint export, analytics and advanced privacy controls, and Enterprise quoted with translation, single sign on, review workflows and PII redaction. Note that Business caps at five creators, so a support or enablement team of eight is pushed to Enterprise and a quoted price, which is the pricing cliff most buyers do not see coming.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Guidde.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Loom: Loom is better where an unedited recording is fine and the value is speed rather than a maintainable document

Camtasia: Camtasia is the choice for polished, heavily edited tutorial video with a one time licence rather than a subscription

Free for up to 25 videos, Pro at 19 US dollars per creator per month billed annually or 29 monthly, Business at 39 annually or 59 monthly for up to five creators, and Enterprise quoted.
Yes. Business is capped at five creators. Above that you are into Enterprise and a quoted price, which is the main pricing surprise for growing teams.
No, and that is the point. Text to voice generation produces the narration, so it can be edited as text later. It requires the Business tier.
It works well on conventional web interfaces. Canvas based, drag and drop and heavily dynamic applications produce step detection that needs manual correction.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Guidde, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
