Consent management and data privacy platform with a published self-serve tier
As of 31 August 2026, Osano has a free plan and paid plans start at $199/month. A consent management platform that publishes real prices for its cookie banner up to a visitor ceiling, then moves everything else to a sales conversation. Softwr lists it under Cybersecurity. Osano is made by Osano, Inc., available on Web.
Overview
Osano is a privacy platform built around consent management. It serves cookie and tracking consent banners with regional rule sets for GDPR, ePrivacy, CPRA and the other US state laws, blocks tags before consent, maintains a consent record, and adds subject rights request handling, data mapping, vendor privacy monitoring and assessment workflow in its higher tiers. The company is based in Austin, Texas. The distinguishing thing is commercial rather than technical: Osano offers a no fines guarantee, contractually indemnifying customers against privacy penalties arising from correct use of the consent platform, up to defined limits. Very few vendors in this category will put money behind their own compliance claim, and for a privacy counsel evaluating three near identical banners it is the argument that changes the shortlist. Read the limits and the exclusions before treating it as insurance, because it is bounded and conditional on configuration. The second commercial point is pricing shape. Osano publishes a free tier at one domain, one user and 5,000 monthly visitors, and a paid self-serve tier from around 199 US dollars a month covering a few domains and around 30,000 monthly visitors. Past that ceiling, pricing leaves the website entirely and becomes a quote, and the privacy modules beyond consent were never priced publicly at all. Buyers are typically privacy or marketing operations at mid market companies; the trade off is that the visitor ceilings are low enough that any consumer facing site of real traffic is a quoted enterprise deal, and the published price is best read as an anchor rather than what you will pay.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Osano.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

No. The guarantee attaches to paid use of the consent product, and the free tier is capped at one domain and 5,000 monthly visitors.
By monthly website visitors, number of domains and tier. The self-serve path stops at a low visitor ceiling and everything above is quoted.
Yes, with region aware rule sets covering GDPR, ePrivacy and the US state regimes, so an EU visitor sees an opt-in banner and a US visitor sees the applicable opt-out.
Yes, but in the enterprise tier rather than the published plans, and it is quoted separately from consent.
