Oracle HCM Cloud: If you are an Oracle customer looking for the actively developed replacement, Oracle Recruiting Cloud within Fusion Cloud HCM

Legacy Oracle applicant tracking system, closed to new customers since early 2026
As of 1 September 2026, Oracle Taleo's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. Oracle's long-running enterprise applicant tracking system, acquired in 2012, is no longer sold to new customers as of February 2026. Softwr lists it under Recruitment. Oracle Taleo is made by Oracle Corporation, available on Web.
Overview
Taleo is an enterprise applicant tracking and recruiting system originally built by Taleo Corporation and acquired by Oracle in 2012, offering requisition management, candidate sourcing, structured interview workflows and offer management for large, multi-region hiring organisations. It has been a fixture of enterprise recruiting stacks for over a decade, particularly among companies that adopted it before Oracle developed its Fusion-based recruiting products. The distinguishing fact for 2026 is that Taleo, in both its Enterprise and Midsize (formerly Taleo Business Edition) forms, is no longer sold to new customers as of February 2026. It is now classified internally as a maintenance platform: existing customers can still expand or renew their subscriptions, but new feature development has stopped and updates are limited to security patches and critical bug fixes, with Oracle directing all new business toward Oracle Recruiting Cloud, part of Fusion Cloud HCM. This entry exists for buyers evaluating an incumbent Taleo deployment or researching what replaces it, not as a purchase recommendation for new buyers. The trade-off facing any existing Taleo customer is a forced migration decision: staying on a platform receiving no new features indefinitely versus a project to move to Oracle Recruiting Cloud or a competing ATS, and Oracle's own roadmap signals point toward the former eventually being unsupported.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Oracle Taleo.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.
