What Galcon does
Galcon builds irrigation control hardware and the cloud software that manages it. The range spans battery-powered tap and valve timers, DC latching-solenoid field controllers, the GSI cloud system for public landscaping and open-field agriculture, GSI PRO, Galileo Cloud for open-field agriculture and larger installations, and greenhouse fertigation and climate controllers that dose nutrients and manage ventilation, heating and screens. The company has been doing this from Kiryat Shmona since 1984 and its products are widely distributed through irrigation wholesalers rather than sold direct. The distinguishing capability is running without mains power. Galcon's DC controllers drive latching solenoids from internal batteries, so a valve in the middle of an orchard, a roadside planting bed or a remote park zone can be scheduled and, with the cloud models, controlled remotely without trenching a power cable.
