Guidewire PolicyCenter: Larger integrator ecosystem and more property and casualty references, at higher total programme cost

Coretech platform for insurers, strongest in group and voluntary benefits
As of 31 August 2026, EIS Group's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A cloud core suite covering policy, billing, claims and customer for property, life and benefits carriers. Softwr lists it under Insurance. EIS Group is available on Web, API.
Overview
EIS Group sells a set of core insurance applications, marketed as OneSuite, covering policy administration, billing, claims, customer and digital engagement. It is built on a microservices architecture with open APIs and runs on Kubernetes, either in the vendor cloud or in the customer cloud account. It serves property and casualty, life and annuity, health and, notably, group and voluntary employee benefits. The commercially interesting part is that benefits capability. Group benefits administration involves employer groups, enrolment windows, eligibility rules, payroll deduction files and broker of record structures, and most property and casualty core platforms handle none of it without heavy custom work. Carriers writing worksite and voluntary products routinely find that the shortlist of platforms that model an employer group natively is short, and EIS is on it. If you are buying for personal auto or homeowners, that advantage is irrelevant and you are comparing on general core capability, where the larger incumbents have more references. Buyers are mid-sized to large carriers modernising off mainframe or first-generation web platforms, and the projects are multi-year. As with every platform in this class, the systems integrator determines the outcome more than the software does: the same product delivers on time for one carrier and overruns by two years at another, and the difference is almost always the delivery team, the scope discipline and the quality of the legacy data being migrated. Ask for references from the specific integrator practice that would staff your programme, not from the vendor.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about EIS Group.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Carriers writing group or voluntary benefits, where the alternative is heavy customisation of a property and casualty platform that was never designed to model an employer group.
Yes. It is container-based and is deployed in customer-controlled cloud tenancies as well as the vendor cloud, which matters for carriers with data residency obligations.
Most of it. Budget for the delivery partner as the larger line item and check references for the specific practice team, not the firm.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for EIS Group, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish.
