Where each one falls short
Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.
Paperbell
- It only models packaged session based work, so anyone selling project scoped deliverables will find the proposal side too rigid to use.
- There is no time tracking, project management or task system, so any work between sessions is managed somewhere else entirely.
- Payments run through a third party gateway, so the card processing fee applies on top of the subscription and is easy to leave out of a comparison.
- The flat account price is attractive at scale but poor value for a coach with two or three clients, who is subsidising capacity they do not use.
- Customisation of the client facing pages is limited, so a coach with a strong brand will find the purchase flow looks like every other Paperbell account.
Skedda
- Pricing is per space with a bundled minimum, so the entry Starter plan is $99 per month for 15 spaces whether or not you use them
- All published plans are quoted billed annually, with no monthly rate shown
- The rules and roles engine is basic on Starter and limited on Plus; the full engine requires Premier
- The insights dashboard is limited on the Starter plan
- Assigned spaces and unlimited custom fields require the Premier plan
- A dedicated account manager, legal agreement flexibility and white glove implementation are Enterprise only, and Enterprise carries no published price
- Every plan, including the cheapest, routes through Talk to Sales rather than self-serve checkout

Answered from the vendors’ own pages
Paperbell: Is it priced per client?
No. It is a flat account price with unlimited clients, which is unusual in this category and is the main economic argument for it.
Skedda: How much does Skedda cost?
Skedda pricing starts at $99 per month (EMEA/APAC) for the Starter plan with 15 spaces, or $249 per month (US/Canada) for the Plus plan with 35 spaces. Premier plans start at $199 (EMEA/APAC) or $349 (US/Canada) with expanded space counts and features.
SourcePaperbell: Does it take a cut of my payments?
The card processor takes its standard fee. Confirm the current subscription price with the vendor and model the processing fee separately.
Skedda: Does Skedda offer a free trial?
Yes, Skedda offers a free 30-day Premium trial that requires no payment method to get started. After trial expiration, customers must select a paid plan or the service will be deactivated.
SourcePaperbell: Can I use it for project work?
Not well. It is built around packages of sessions, and project scoped proposals do not fit that shape.
Skedda: What are the add-on costs for Skedda?
Skedda charges $99 per month for additional administrators and $4.99 per space for spaces exceeding the plan's included limit. Regional pricing varies between US/Canada and EMEA/APAC regions.
SourcePaperbell: Do I still need a scheduling tool?
No. Scheduling is built in, and replacing a separate scheduling subscription is part of the cost case.
Paperbell: Can I brand the client pages?
Only lightly. Deep brand customisation is not available.
