Cliniko: Simpler flat per practitioner pricing with fewer separately billed add-ons

Australian allied health practice management priced per practitioner with usage charges on top
As of 31 August 2026, Nookal starts at 49/month. Cloud practice management for physiotherapy, chiropractic and other allied health clinics, sold per practitioner per month with a published price list. Softwr lists it under Healthcare. Nookal is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
Nookal is practice management software for allied health clinics, covering appointments, patient records, clinical notes, invoicing, online booking, reporting and claiming. It was built in Australia and has grown to serve clinics in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland and further afield, with pricing published in AUD, GBP, EUR and USD. What distinguishes it commercially is that the pricing is published and stratified rather than negotiated. Essentials sits at AUD 49 per practitioner per month, Professional at AUD 59, and an Enterprise tier is quoted. The line between the two published tiers is not trivial: advanced reporting, KPI dashboards, custom forms, automated recalls and bulk messaging all sit in Professional, and those are precisely the features a clinic wants once it has more than two practitioners. On top of the seat price there are add-ons, including AI and voice at about USD 25 per active licence per month, the patient portal from about USD 10 per location, secure messaging from about USD 1.50 per user, plus per message SMS from around 7 cents and per claim fees for Medicare and ACC. Buyers are typically owner-operated multidisciplinary clinics with three to twenty practitioners, particularly in physiotherapy and chiropractic, who want Australian and New Zealand claiming rails without an enterprise sales process. The trade-off is stacking: a Professional seat plus AI, portal and secure messaging can land close to double the headline price, and the price differs materially by currency, with the USD and EUR figures well above a straight conversion of the AUD ones.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Nookal.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Nookal, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
