Jotform: Vastly cheaper if all you need is registration forms and payments with no health or staff modules

Camp management for residential summer camps, priced by camper rather than by seat
As of 31 August 2026, CampMinder's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. The established system for mid-sized and large overnight camps in North America, covering registration, health records, staff hiring and parent communication. Softwr lists it under Education. CampMinder is available on Web, iOS, Android.
Overview
CampMinder covers the operational year of a residential camp: enrolment and waitlists, tuition billing and payment plans, camper health records and medication logs, staff recruitment and onboarding with background checks, cabin and group assignment, transport, and the photo and message tools parents use during a session. What sets it apart from generic registration software is the parts nobody else builds: a health centre module a camp nurse can run daily, a staff hiring pipeline suited to hundreds of seasonal applicants, and a parent-facing experience during session that carries real weight in re-enrolment. Camps consistently report that the parent photo and message tools drive returning families more than any operational feature. Buyers are residential and day camps with a few hundred to a few thousand campers a season, plus camp networks and Jewish and faith-affiliated camp associations where CampMinder has deep penetration. The trade-off is commercial opacity. Pricing is quoted, scales with camper volume, and card processing is charged on top of the licence at a rate the camp is often unaware is negotiable. For a camp collecting several million in tuition by card, the processing line dwarfs the software line.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about CampMinder.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Answered, with sources
Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
It is not published. Pricing is quoted annually against camper volume, plus separate implementation and payment processing costs. Ask for the volume bands in writing so next year's increase is predictable.
Yes, and it is the largest cost most camps overlook. Compare the offered rate against an independent merchant quote before signing.
Yes. The health centre module with medication administration logs is one of the strongest reasons camps choose it over generic registration tools.
It can be, but much of what you pay for, such as bunking, transport and health centre operations, is built for overnight camps.
