Beds24

Low-cost, highly configurable channel manager and booking system for technical operators

As of 31 August 2026, Beds24 starts at €15.9/month. A German-built booking and channel management system that costs a fraction of its competitors and exposes far more configuration than any of them, at the cost of a steep setup and a support model that expects you to solve your own problems. Softwr lists it under Travel. Beds24 is made by Beds24.com, available on Web, iOS, Android.

Overview

What Beds24 does

Beds24 is a cloud booking system, channel manager and lightweight property management tool used by hotels, hostels, vacation rentals, campsites and apartment operators. It connects to a long list of online travel agencies, runs a customisable booking page, handles rate and availability rules, invoicing, automated guest messaging, and offers an API and template language for operators who want to build their own behaviour on top. The distinguishing thing is price against capability. A single-rental property starts around fifteen euros a month with additional properties at about three euros and extra units at about one euro, which puts a twenty-unit operator at a monthly cost that competitors charge for a single listing. That is possible because Beds24 spends nothing on onboarding. Configuration is exposed as raw settings pages rather than guided setup, the template system expects you to edit markup, and the documentation assumes you will read it. The saving is real and so is the labour that replaces it. Buyers are technically confident owner-operators and small managers who would rather spend a weekend configuring than pay a hundred dollars a month forever, plus developers building on the API. The trade-off is support and polish. Reviewers consistently report that help with usage is good but help with genuine bugs is slow, the interface is unfashionable and menu-dense, and there is no built-in dynamic pricing engine or website builder, so those come from third parties. If nobody on your team enjoys configuration, the money saved will be spent in frustration.

What people use it for

  • A twenty-unit apartment operator who wants multi-channel distribution for under fifty euros a month
  • A hostel needing Hostelworld and dorm-level bed inventory alongside the major OTAs
  • A developer building a custom guest app on top of a booking system with an open API
  • An owner with unusual rate logic, such as per-person pricing or seasonal minimum stays, that packaged tools cannot express

The honest half

Where it falls short

Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Beds24.

  • Support is helpful on how to use the product but slow and thin on genuine defects, and the ticketing system does not accept screenshots or attachments properly, which makes reporting a real bug laborious.
  • There is no built-in dynamic pricing engine, so revenue management means paying separately for PriceLabs or an equivalent and accepting a second system to maintain.
  • No website builder is included; the booking page is templated but a marketing site has to be built and hosted elsewhere.
  • Initial configuration is genuinely difficult and largely self-serve, and operators regularly report days rather than hours to get channel mappings and rate rules correct.
  • Housekeeping, task management, smart lock support and any hospitality CRM are absent or require third-party tools, so it is a distribution engine rather than an operations platform.

Answered, with sources

Questions people ask

Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Why is Beds24 so much cheaper than Lodgify or Uplisting?

Because it does not pay for onboarding, guided setup or a website builder. You configure it yourself from raw settings pages, and that labour is the difference.

Is the channel manager restricted on the cheap plan?

No. Unlike most competitors, Beds24 does not gate distribution behind a higher tier; the price scales with property and unit count rather than feature access.

Does it include dynamic pricing?

No. You connect PriceLabs or a similar tool, which is an additional subscription.

Is there an API?

Yes, a documented REST API, and it is one of the main reasons technical operators pick Beds24 over packaged alternatives.
