What Spiideo does
Spiideo installs fixed camera arrays at a venue that capture the whole playing area continuously. The system produces automatically directed broadcast output for streaming, and separate analysis products let coaches review any angle of any moment without asking someone to film it. Because the cameras are calibrated to the pitch, the system also derives positional information from the video. The purchase differs from a portable automated camera in a way that changes who signs the contract. Spiideo is capital work at a site: mounting positions, power, network and installation. In exchange, every team using that pitch is covered without anyone carrying equipment, which suits multi-team facilities, universities, federations and leagues far better than it suits a single club renting a council pitch. It is also the opposite of a tagging package, which runs on footage you already have and requires no installation at all; buyers regularly compare the two because the marketing language is nearly identical, and they are not the same purchase. Buyers are venue operators, federations, leagues and academies with their own facilities. The trade-off is immobility and dependency: coverage exists only where the system is installed, away fixtures are not covered, and live production quality depends on the venue uplink.
