Overview

What CoreTechnologie does

CoreTechnologie makes interoperability software. 3D_Evolution converts native CAD data between CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, JT, STEP and around three dozen formats, with automatic healing, feature recognition, simplification and defeaturing so the converted model is usable rather than merely readable. 3D_Analyzer is a viewer and analysis tool that reads the same formats and adds wall thickness, draft angle, collision and comparison analysis without a CAD licence. 4D_Additive prepares parts for 3D printing directly on exact B-rep geometry, which avoids the accuracy loss of converting to STL first, and includes texturing, nesting and lattice work. Independence is the commercial point. The main alternatives to CoreTechnologie are conversion tools sold by the CAD vendors themselves, who have an interest in the direction of travel out of a rival format being smoother than the direction in. CoreTechnologie has no CAD product to protect, which is why it appears in automotive and aerospace supply chains where a supplier must accept whatever format each customer sends. Buyers are automotive and aerospace tier suppliers, engineering service providers, and companies running a migration off one CAD platform onto another. The trade-off is that this is a small European vendor with a proportionally small support and partner network, and pricing is entirely by quote through direct sales or regional resellers, with no public list to anchor a negotiation.

  • No pricing is published and the vendor sells through direct and regional channels, so there is no list price to anchor a negotiation and quotes differ by territory.
  • Licensing is granular by format read and write pair, so the price you were quoted covers the translations you named and adding a customer with a different CAD platform later means going back for another line item.
  • It is a small independent vendor, so a buyer standardising a critical migration pipeline on it should weigh the concentration risk and check the support arrangement in their own region rather than assume global coverage.
  • Feature recognition on converted geometry works well on prismatic machined parts and much less well on complex freeform surfaces, so the rebuilt-as-editable claim needs testing on your own worst parts, not on a demo model.
  • 4D_Additive competes with entrenched incumbents such as Magics in industrial AM, so machine-side Build Processor support and bureau familiarity are thinner, which matters if you need your service provider to accept the output.
