Sedaru: Do I need Esri ArcGIS to use Sedaru?
Yes. Sedaru is built on the ArcGIS geodatabase and the Esri licence is a separate purchase from Esri, not part of the Sedaru subscription.
WizTree: Why is it so much faster than other analysers?
It reads the NTFS master file table, the index the filesystem already maintains, instead of walking directories. It is one read of a structure rather than thousands of folder operations.
Sedaru: Who owns Sedaru?
Aquatic Informatics, which is part of Veralto, the water quality group spun out of Danaher in 2023.
WizTree: Can I use the free version at work?
No. The free build is licensed for personal use only, and business use requires a paid licence. WinDirStat and TreeSize Free are the no-cost options that allow commercial use.
