- Sensor access requires a kernel-level driver and administrator rights, which anti-cheat systems and some hardened endpoint configurations block outright.

HWiNFO: Can I use the free version at work?
No. Free use is personal only. Any business use, including internal IT diagnostics, requires the paid licence.
Sedaru: Do I need Esri ArcGIS to use Sedaru?
Yes. Sedaru is built on the ArcGIS geodatabase and the Esri licence is a separate purchase from Esri, not part of the Sedaru subscription.
HWiNFO: Does it run on macOS or Linux?
No. It is Windows only; the older DOS builds are discontinued.
Sedaru: Who owns Sedaru?
Aquatic Informatics, which is part of Veralto, the water quality group spun out of Danaher in 2023.
