mabl: Can I export mabl tests to Playwright if we leave?
No. You can export documentation of the steps, but not runnable code. Budget for re authoring the suite.
TestRail: Do read-only stakeholders need a licence?
Yes. Access is per named user, so anyone who logs in to view results consumes a seat, and reports have to be emailed out to avoid that.
mabl: Does auto healing actually work?
It works often enough to be the reason people buy it, but it cannot be verified from a demo. Trial it against your own application through at least two real releases.
TestRail: Can I still self-host TestRail?
Yes, but the server edition is sold only under enterprise contracts, so it is no longer the cheaper option it once was.
mabl: Is mabl a replacement for unit tests?
No. It covers end to end journeys through a running application. Unit and integration coverage still belongs in your repository.
TestRail: How do automated tests report into it?
Through the REST API or the trcli tool importing JUnit XML from CI. You have to maintain the link between automation test names and TestRail case identifiers.
TestRail: Is it worth it if all our testing is automated?
