The short version

  • Each has a real cost: Gleamer radNet, an imaging provider that competes with many independent Gleamer customers, now owns the company and also owns the competing DeepHealth AI portfolio, so roadmap and pricing priorities are an open question for non-RadNet buyers.; Quantum Health nothing is published: no per employee per month rate, no implementation fee, no minimum eligible lives, so an employer cannot benchmark a Quantum quote against anything before entering a sales process.
  • They diverge on capability: Gleamer covers BoneView, Quantum Health covers Care coordinator pods.
  • Prices and features above were last checked on 1 September 2026.

What people use each for

The jobs each tool is most often brought in to do.

Gleamer

  • An emergency department where junior doctors read plain films before radiology review and missed fractures are a recurring incident themenot Quantum Health
  • An urgent care network standardising musculoskeletal reading quality across sites with variable radiology covernot Quantum Health
  • A paediatric service automating bone age assessment to remove a slow manual atlas comparisonnot Quantum Health
  • An orthopaedic service that needs automated limb alignment and measurement before surgical planning rather than manual measurement on the workstationnot Quantum Health

Quantum Health

  • A self insured employer of a few thousand staff whose members call the carrier, get transferred repeatedly and make expensive care decisions unsupportednot Gleamer
  • An employer that has bought many point solutions and needs someone to route members into the ones already fundednot Gleamer
  • A plan wanting intervention before an elective procedure is scheduled rather than a report about it afterwardsnot Gleamer
  • An employer that wants navigation without giving the same vendor the clinical delivery contractnot Gleamer

Where each one falls short

Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.

Gleamer

  • RadNet, an imaging provider that competes with many independent Gleamer customers, now owns the company and also owns the competing DeepHealth AI portfolio, so roadmap and pricing priorities are an open question for non-RadNet buyers.
  • The measured benefit is largest for less experienced readers, so a specialist musculoskeletal service will see far less improvement than the published reader studies suggest.
  • Cleared indications differ per module and per market, and the FDA cleared set is narrower than the CE marked European set, so an American buyer cannot rely on European reference sites.
  • Each additional module adds alert volume into the same worklist, and departments running several Gleamer algorithms report needing local threshold tuning to keep radiologist trust.
  • Pricing is per exam and not published, which makes budgeting difficult for an emergency department whose plain film volume swings seasonally.

Quantum Health

  • Nothing is published: no per employee per month rate, no implementation fee, no minimum eligible lives, so an employer cannot benchmark a Quantum quote against anything before entering a sales process.
  • It sells to self insured employers of roughly 500 employees and up, so smaller and fully insured employers are outside the model regardless of interest.
  • Quantum navigates but does not deliver care, so it cannot close a loop with a visit of its own, and members who are steered still have to obtain an appointment through the ordinary network.
  • The pod model depends on staffing continuity, and turnover in the coordinator teams degrades exactly the consistency that the pod concept sells, which is invisible in a demonstration.
  • Savings are measured against counterfactual claims trend, so the number in the return on investment case depends heavily on the methodology chosen, and employers should insist on defining that methodology before signing rather than accepting the vendor own model.

Answered from the vendors’ own pages

Gleamer: Who owns Gleamer?

RadNet agreed to acquire Gleamer in February 2026 for around two hundred and fifteen million euros upfront. RadNet also owns DeepHealth, a competing AI portfolio.

Quantum Health: Is there a minimum employer size?

Quantum works with self insured employers of around 500 employees and up. It does not publish a hard minimum, but the model does not fit small or fully insured groups.

Gleamer: Is BoneView FDA cleared?

Yes, BoneView holds 510(k) clearance including for paediatric fracture detection, but the cleared finding set is narrower than the CE marked indication in Europe.

Quantum Health: Does Quantum provide the medical care?

No. It navigates, coordinates and steers, but care is delivered by the network. That is the deliberate difference from vendors that own their own virtual clinicians.

Gleamer: What does the evidence actually show?

Multi-reader studies reported improved reader sensitivity for fracture detection and fewer false negatives, with the gain concentrated among less experienced readers in emergency settings.

Quantum Health: What are the tiers?

Embold Plus for carrier compatible navigation, Quantum Flex for modular capability selection, and Quantum Signature for deeper clinical, pharmacy and provider steering integration.

Gleamer: Can I buy just BoneView?

Yes, modules are licensed individually, though the commercial pitch is now the Copilot bundle across modalities.

Quantum Health: Is pricing published?

No. No rates, implementation fees or minimum lives are disclosed. Expect a fully custom quote based on headcount, plan complexity, carrier relationships and modules.
