The short version

  • Only Womp has a free tier, so it costs nothing to try first.
  • Each has a real cost: Caspio data record limits are hard caps (1.25 million on Team, 4 million on Business), so a fast-growing dataset can force an upgrade even with the same small internal team using it.; Womp everything runs through the browser graphics stack, so an older laptop with integrated graphics hits frame rate and render limits fast and there is no local rendering fallback.
  • They diverge on capability: Caspio covers Visual app builder, Womp covers Implicit surface modelling.
  • Prices and features above were last checked on 1 September 2026.

  • A team whose main constraint is data record volume rather than the number of people who need accessnot Womp
  • A healthcare-adjacent use case needing HIPAA-eligible hosting as a defined add-on rather than a separate vendornot Womp

Womp

  • Producing 3D product or icon visuals in a design team with no 3D specialistnot Caspio
  • Making a set of consistent 3D illustrations for a website or campaign in a daynot Caspio
  • Prototyping a form quickly for discussion before it is remodelled properly in CADnot Caspio

Where each one falls short

Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.

Caspio

  • Data record limits are hard caps (1.25 million on Team, 4 million on Business), so a fast-growing dataset can force an upgrade even with the same small internal team using it.
  • DataPage counts (100 on Team, 200 on Business) limit how many distinct app components can be built, which becomes a real constraint for an organisation running many small, separate apps rather than a few large ones.
  • The HIPAA compliance add-on costs 500 US dollars a month on top of the base plan with a one-year minimum term, a meaningful additional commitment for healthcare-adjacent buyers.
  • Its unlimited-user model is only cheaper than per-seat competitors when the user count is genuinely high relative to data volume; a small team with heavy data needs may find a per-seat platform cheaper.
  • The visual builder and DataPages approach is less suited to complex multi-step business process automation than platforms built around workflow engines, such as Appian or Mendix.

Womp

  • Everything runs through the browser graphics stack, so an older laptop with integrated graphics hits frame rate and render limits fast and there is no local rendering fallback.
  • Implicit modelling gives no control over the exported mesh, so the output topology is unsuitable for rigging, animation or subdivision work downstream.
  • Nothing is dimensionally accurate, so a form designed here has to be remodelled in CAD before it can be manufactured.
  • Scenes live in the vendor account, so if the service changes or closes, the only copies you hold are whatever you exported in advance.
  • The material and lighting set is deliberately simplified, which caps art direction and makes the output visually recognisable as having come from Womp.

Questions people ask

Is Caspio or Womp better?
Neither clearly leads. Caspio starts at On request and Womp at Free, and user ratings are close enough to be indistinguishable. Choose on capability and platform support.
Which is cheaper, Caspio or Womp?
Womp has a free tier; the other does not. Paid plans start at On request for Caspio and Free for Womp.
Does Caspio or Womp run on more platforms?
Both run on Web, so platform support will not decide this one for you.
Can I use Womp for free?

What is Caspio best used for?
Caspio is most often used for a public-facing organisation running intake forms or surveys with unpredictable, potentially large numbers of occasional external users, a nonprofit or membership organisation embedding a portal into an existing website without paying per member seat, a team whose main constraint is data record volume rather than the number of people who need access, a healthcare-adjacent use case needing hipaa-eligible hosting as a defined add-on rather than a separate vendor. Of those, a public-facing organisation running intake forms or surveys with unpredictable, potentially large numbers of occasional external users and a nonprofit or membership organisation embedding a portal into an existing website without paying per member seat are not what Womp is typically brought in for.
What can Caspio do that Womp cannot?
Caspio covers Visual app builder, DataPages, Unlimited users, Workflow automation. Womp covers Implicit surface modelling, Browser rendering, Material library, Scene sharing.

Answered from the vendors’ own pages

Caspio: Does Caspio charge per user?

No. Every published tier includes unlimited users; the price scales with data record volume and DataPage count instead.

Womp: Do I need to know 3D to use it?

No. That is the point of the modelling approach; there is no topology, edge flow or subdivision to understand.

Caspio: What is a DataPage?

An individually configured, embeddable app component, such as a form or report, that can be placed inside an existing website.

Womp: Can I use the meshes in Blender or a game engine?

You can export them, but the topology comes from tessellating an implicit surface, so it is not suitable for rigging, animation or subdivision without a retopology pass.

Caspio: Is HIPAA compliance included?

No, it is a separate add-on priced at 500 US dollars a month with a minimum one-year term.

Womp: Is it accurate enough for manufacturing?

No. It is a visual tool. Anything to be made needs remodelling in CAD.
