The short version

  • Each has a real cost: Delinea the Thycotic and Centrify lineages are integrated unevenly, so buying the full portfolio means running consoles and agents that do not share one administrative model as cleanly as the marketing suggests.; Securiti value depends entirely on connector coverage and completed scanning, so the first useful data map commonly takes months and stalls whenever a data owner will not grant access to a system.
  • They diverge on capability: Delinea covers Secret Server, Securiti covers Sensitive data discovery.
  • Prices and features above were last checked on 1 September 2026.

Delinea

  • An organisation whose cyber insurer now requires privileged credentials to be vaulted and rotatednot Securiti
  • A mid-market IT team that abandoned a heavier PAM rollout and needs a vault that can be in production in weeksnot Securiti
  • A company removing local administrator rights from every workstation after a ransomware incidentnot Securiti

Securiti

  • A privacy team automating deletion requests across dozens of systems where the hard part is knowing where a person appears at allnot Delinea
  • A security team that needs to find sensitive data sitting in over-permissive cloud buckets and warehouse tables before an auditor doesnot Delinea
  • A company putting internal data into retrieval-augmented AI applications and needing to prove that regulated fields are not reaching the modelnot Delinea

Where each one falls short

Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.

Delinea

  • The Thycotic and Centrify lineages are integrated unevenly, so buying the full portfolio means running consoles and agents that do not share one administrative model as cleanly as the marketing suggests.
  • Modules are licensed separately by different units, per privileged user for the vault and per endpoint for privilege management, which makes total cost hard to model and easy to underestimate at scale.
  • Delinea does not publish rates, so buyers benchmark against third party and public sector listings; expect list prices to be negotiable by a wide margin, which means the first quote is not the price.
  • Thoma Bravo ownership since 2021 has coincided with firmer renewal pricing, and buyers with a single-vendor PAM estate have little leverage once credentials are inside the vault.
  • Migrating out of a privileged access vault is a genuinely hard project because every automated process that fetches a secret has to be repointed, so the switching cost is real and the vendor knows it.

Securiti

  • Value depends entirely on connector coverage and completed scanning, so the first useful data map commonly takes months and stalls whenever a data owner will not grant access to a system.
  • Usage-based pricing tied to data volume means costs rise as the estate grows rather than as the security programme matures, and organisations with large but low-risk data lakes pay for scanning they do not need.
  • The breadth across DSPM, privacy and AI governance means each individual module is competing with a specialist, and buyers who only need one of the three often find a focused tool does that job better for less.
  • Classification accuracy on unstructured and free-text data requires tuning, and untuned deployments generate false positives that erode trust in the catalogue precisely when teams are being asked to act on it.
  • Pricing is unpublished and modular, so scoping is difficult without a sales engagement and the eventual cost depends on module choices that are hard to evaluate before you have seen your own data map.

Answered from the vendors’ own pages

Delinea: Is Delinea the same as Thycotic?

Delinea is the merged company formed from Thycotic and Centrify in 2021. Secret Server is the former Thycotic product; the server access products come from Centrify.

Securiti: Is Securiti a DSPM tool or a privacy tool?

Both, deliberately. It runs data security posture management and privacy operations off one discovery catalogue, which is its main argument against buying two products.

Delinea: Is pricing published?

Not by Delinea. Public sector frameworks have listed Secret Server Cloud around 348 GBP per user per year, which is a reference point, not a quote.

Securiti: What does it cost?

Not published. Pricing is modular and usage based, quoted by data volume and selected modules, and it is also available through the AWS marketplace.

Delinea: Does one licence cover endpoints and servers?

No. Secret Server, Privilege Manager and Server PAM are separately licensed on different units. Scope all three if your requirement spans them.

Securiti: How long until it is useful?

Expect months, not weeks. The limiting factor is configuring connectors and getting access approvals to the systems you most want scanned.

Securiti: Does it govern AI use?

Yes, it includes controls over data flowing into models and retrieval pipelines, which is increasingly the reason enterprises shortlist it.
