Identity resolution and triggered messaging for high-traffic retailers, formerly BounceX
As of 31 August 2026, Wunderkind's pricing is not published; the vendor quotes on request. A performance marketing platform that identifies anonymous website visitors and triggers email and text messages to them. Softwr lists it under Marketing. Wunderkind is made by Wunderkind Corporation, available on Web, API.
Overview
Wunderkind, which traded as BounceX until 2019, runs an identity network across its client sites. When a visitor arrives, Wunderkind attempts to match the device against its own cross-site identity graph and, where a match exists and consent permits, triggers behavioural email or SMS to a person who never entered their address on your site. That is the entire product proposition: converting anonymous traffic into addressable, messageable contacts, then running abandonment and browse-triggered messaging against them. The pricing model is the fact that decides fit. Wunderkind does not publish rates and does not sell a self-service tier. Deals are annual, sold to enterprise ecommerce and publishing, and structured around performance, typically a share of attributed revenue with a floor. Two things follow. First, the attribution methodology is a commercial term, not a technical detail: Wunderkind reports the revenue it claims to have driven and you pay against it, so how a conversion is credited, what the lookback window is, and whether a holdout group is run should be negotiated explicitly. Second, the model requires scale. A site with modest traffic produces too few identity matches to cover a floor, which is why Wunderkind sells to large retailers and media brands rather than mid-market stores. Buyers are large direct-to-consumer and multi-brand retailers, publishers and travel companies in the United States, where the identity network is densest. The trade-offs are real: you are placing a third-party tag with identity resolution capability on your site, you are messaging people who did not give you their address on your property, and both of those carry privacy and brand risk that legal and CRM teams should assess before commercial teams get attached to the revenue projections.
The honest half
Concrete and checkable, so you can decide whether any of them matter to you. This is the half of a review a vendor will not write about Wunderkind.
Cross-shopped
Each pairing was judged by two reviewers asking whether a buyer would genuinely weigh the two against each other. The ones that failed were deleted rather than published.

Answered, with sources
Each answer names the page it came from, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
Yes. BounceX rebranded as Wunderkind in 2019; the identity resolution and triggered messaging model is the same lineage.
It is not published. Contracts are annual and structured around a share of revenue Wunderkind attributes to its messages, usually with a minimum commitment.
No. It runs alongside your existing ESP and adds a triggered channel; it is not a campaign management replacement.
Less well. The identity network is concentrated in the US, and consent requirements in Europe reduce both match rates and the legal room to message unidentified visitors.

Softwr does not host reviews and shows no star rating for Wunderkind, because a rating we did not collect is not ours to publish. What is here is the pricing and platform detail from the vendor’s own pages, limitations we could state concretely, and alternatives a reviewer confirmed people weigh against it.
