The bring-your-own-key path is the differentiator for anyone already holding a DeepSeek key: you paste it in and the app uses it directly, with no environment variables to export and no proxy to stand up in front of it. The free tier is genuinely usable rather than a trial, covering session management, the file explorer, snippets, voice input and weekly free credits on DeepSeek-V4-Flash.
