Where each one falls short
Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.
Hostfully
- The advertised per property price excludes a platform fee that is not published anywhere on the pricing page, so no listed figure is a real monthly cost until sales quotes it.
- The Growth tier charges 1% on payments and 0.85% on direct bookings, so the operators most focused on direct revenue are penalised on the cheaper plan and effectively forced to Pro.
- Pricing is per property, so a portfolio of small low-revenue units pays the same per listing as high-revenue ones and studio-heavy portfolios carry a disproportionate cost.
- Accounting is lighter than manager-grade competitors, with no full trust accounting, so client fund segregation has to be handled outside the platform.
- Digital Guidebooks are sold and priced separately from the PMS, so the product Hostfully is best known for is an additional line on the invoice rather than part of the subscription.
Sabre Red 360
- The commercial deal is a multi-year segment volume commitment, so an agency that moves bookings to airline direct connects can end up paying shortfall penalties on volume it no longer books through Sabre.
- NDC content behaves differently from classic EDIFACT content inside the workspace, and servicing an NDC order often means leaving the normal exchange and refund workflow.
- Cryptic entries remain necessary for a meaningful set of tasks, so training a new consultant to productive speed takes months rather than days.
- It is a desktop-weighted product on Windows, which makes it awkward for agencies running fully remote or Mac-based teams without virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Pricing is never published and is entangled with incentive economics, so two agencies of similar size can be on materially different terms with no visibility of each other.

Answered from the vendors’ own pages
Hostfully: What is the platform fee?
Hostfully does not publish it. Ask for the total monthly figure for your listing count in writing before comparing plans.
Sabre Red 360: Do we pay a licence fee for Sabre Red 360?
Usually not directly. It is bundled into a GDS segment agreement in which Sabre pays your agency incentives per segment, so the negotiation is over volume commitments and incentive rates.
Hostfully: Which tier is cheaper in practice?
Pro, for anyone with real direct booking volume. Growth is $10 less per property but adds 1% on payments and 0.85% on direct bookings.
Sabre Red 360: Can corporates buy it to book their own travel?
No. It is an agent workspace. Corporates buy a TMC or an online booking tool such as GetThere, Egencia or TravelPerk instead.
Hostfully: Can I buy guidebooks alone?
Yes. Digital Guidebooks are priced separately and are commonly bought without the PMS.
Sabre Red 360: Does it handle NDC?
Yes, Sabre distributes NDC offers from a growing airline list, but servicing NDC orders follows a separate flow from classic GDS bookings.
Hostfully: Is there a minimum property count?
No stated minimum, but per property pricing plus a platform fee makes it uneconomic for one or two units.
