Yes. Bare React Native projects build fine, which is a common misconception that costs teams an unnecessary evaluation.
Ionic: Does OutSystems owning Ionic change the framework licence?
No. Ionic Framework and Capacitor remain MIT licensed and free; the acquisition affects company strategy and the paid Appflow service, not the open source code.
EAS Build: Why not just use GitHub Actions macOS runners?
You can, and it is often cheaper. You then own credential management and the Xcode version treadmill, which is the work EAS is actually selling.
Ionic: Do I need Appflow to ship an app?
No. Appflow adds cloud builds and live updates; you can build and deploy manually using Capacitor and native tooling without it.
