Where each one falls short
Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.
Algopix
- The demand and competition figures are modelled estimates built from sampled marketplace data rather than numbers the marketplace reports, so they rank candidates usefully but should never be treated as a forecast for one product you are about to buy in quantity.
- Profitability calculations depend on a stored marketplace fee schedule, and marketplaces revise referral and fulfilment fees regularly, so a margin figure computed against a stale schedule can be optimistic in exactly the categories where margin is thinnest.
- Marketplace coverage depends on API access that the marketplaces control, so the set of sites and regions a tool like this supports can narrow without notice and the comparison you subscribed for may not be the one you get in a year.
- It says nothing about supply, so a product that screens as profitable can still be unsourceable, subject to a minimum order you cannot meet, or restricted on the marketplace to approved sellers only, and none of that appears in the analysis.
- It is a subscription that produces no asset, so unlike a listing tool or a storefront there is nothing left when you cancel, and the ongoing cost has to be justified against the incremental margin of decisions you would otherwise have made by hand.

Answered from the vendors’ own pages
Algopix: Is this a selling platform?
No. It informs the decision about what to sell. Listing, order management and fulfilment all happen elsewhere.
Authorize.net: How much does Authorize.net cost?
Authorize.net charges a $25/month gateway fee across all plans. Transaction rates vary: All-in-One plan charges 2.9% + 30¢ per card transaction, Gateway-only plan charges 10¢ per transaction + 10¢ daily batch fee, and Gateway + eCheck charges 0.75% for eCheck or 10¢ + 10¢ batch for credit cards.
SourceAlgopix: How accurate are the demand numbers?
They are estimates inferred from marketplace signals, not marketplace-reported sales. Use them to rank a list, not to forecast a single product's volume.
Authorize.net: Are there any setup or termination fees?
No setup fee or early termination fee applies to any Authorize.net plan. You can cancel your account without penalty once service usage stops.
SourceAlgopix: What should I check before subscribing?
Which marketplaces and which country sites are covered right now, and whether they are the ones you actually sell on. Coverage is the variable that decides whether the tool is useful to you.
Authorize.net: What are the additional fees beyond the monthly gateway charge?
Beyond the $25/month fee, additional charges include Account Updater service at $0.25 per update, standard chargeback fees at $0 (but $25 for eCheck chargebacks), and returned item fee of $3 for eCheck payments. eCheck processing includes a $10 minimum monthly fee.
SourceAlgopix: Does it account for marketplace fees?
It nets estimated fees and shipping off the sale price, but the fee schedule it uses is only as current as its last update, so verify the fee assumptions for your category before trusting a thin margin.
Authorize.net: What payment types does Authorize.net accept?
Authorize.net accepts credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and eCheck payments (Gateway + eCheck plan and higher). All plans include automated recurring billing, customer information manager, digital invoicing, and advanced fraud detection.
