Where each one falls short
Documented limitations, not opinions. Every one is a constraint you would hit in normal use.
GOG
- A much smaller catalogue than Steam, and many new releases never appear
- DRM-free means fewer multiplayer and anti-cheat systems, so competitive titles are largely absent
- GOG Galaxy is optional and less capable than the clients it competes with
- Preservation work is slow, so requested older titles may never arrive
Winio
- Prices are not published on the plans page. The tiers and their discounts are shown, but the amounts load client side and are not readable without opening the checkout.
- Coverage is narrow: Dota 2, CS2 and football, with other titles described as future plans rather than shipped.
- The free tier is 2 predictions, which is enough to evaluate the interface and not enough to judge the model.
- Real-time forecast updates during a match and the live forecast chart are advertised as a Premium subscription still in development, not something you can buy today.
- No public API, so the forecasts cannot be pulled into your own analysis.

Answered from the vendors’ own pages
GOG: Is GOG free?
The store and account are free; games are bought individually.
Winio: What data does Winio's model use?
Three years of historical match data across Dota 2 and CS2, totalling more than 350,000 matches, plus live tournament data from official providers. Bookmaker odds are explicitly not used as an input to the model.
SourceGOG: What does DRM-free mean here?
Every purchase is a standalone installer that runs with no client, no account check and no internet connection, so the game keeps working whatever happens to the store.
Winio: How accurate are the predictions?
Winio does not publish a single accuracy figure and states that it "does not predict exact match outcomes. The platform calculates probabilities, and is transparent about its confidence level." A public archive of past forecasts against results is available on the site.
SourceGOG: Why is the catalogue smaller?
Many publishers require DRM, and GOG will not sell with it. That policy is the reason for both its loyal audience and its narrower selection.
Winio: Which games are covered?
Dota 2, CS2 and football, with the platform stating plans to expand into additional esports titles and sports disciplines over time.
SourceWinio: What do you get without paying?
Two predictions and access to basic statistics. The Core subscription lifts that to unlimited predictions for all matches, detailed breakdowns, full tournament, team and player analytics, and a personal manager with 24/7 support.
SourceWinio: How many models run per match?
Three sequential models: pre-draft using team form and head-to-head history, post-draft analysing hero and map compositions, and live using the current game state. Across the platform there are more than twenty distinct models using up to fifty variables each.
